James R. Wixson, CVS-Life, CMfgE: Jim graduated from the University of Utah in 1977 with a BS in Industrial Engineering and has an MBA from the University of Phoenix (1986), a Masters' Degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Idaho (Spring, 2003), and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University (2004). Value Engineers (SAVE) and a Certified
Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) through the Society of
Manufacturing Engineers (SME). He is an
active member of SAVE, SME, the International Council On Systems Engineering
(INCOSE), the Project Management
Institute (PMI) and the American Society
for Quality (ASQ) . He has served in
numerous positions with SME ranging from chapter chairman to region chairman
at the national level and is past
Chairman of the Jim has over 30 years of experience in Value Engineering, Systems
Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management,
Project Management, Contracts and Pricing with Fortune 100 and 500 companies
including Unisys, Inc., Baker International, Inc., Raytheon Aircraft
(formerly E-Systems, Inc.), EG&G Idaho, Inc., Lockheed-Martin Idaho
Technologies Company, Inc., Bechtel-BWXT Idaho, LLC, and CH2M-WG Idaho,
LLC. He has served as team leader and consultant on projects for governmental
agencies including the Department of Energy and EG&G Rocky Flats, Inc.
the Mr. Wixson's strengths are his ability to organize and facilitate interdisciplinary teams to develop creative, cost effective solutions to complex problems.
