Welcome to Buyer's Market, an online bookstore

where you try before you buy.

Buyer's Market Philosophy (or Payment Plan):

I hate spending money for something that later turns out to be worthless. Wouldn't you like to try out everything you buy, before you buy it? That's the idea behind this "Buyer's Market." I've written several books on various subjects. You are welcome to download them to your computer and read them. If you like them, send me $5 for the ShareWord, or at least one page of constructive criticism. (Unfortunately, I have to charge for the cassettes, but you can preview the Brer Rabbit story in written form before ordering).

Children's Books

Brer Rabbit
Stories with a principle, for children. Many years ago I found my 3-year-old son and daughter conspiring to steal a pencil at the local store. Spanking didn't seem enough, so I sentenced them to listen to a morality play I made up. Not realizing that this was supposed to be a punishment, they continued to request Dad's made-up Brer Rabbit, Pete's Dragon and Peter Pan stories over the next ten years. I wrote up the good Brer Rabbit stories and included them in this book.

Christian Fiction:

Atlantis 1 & 2:

This story was passed down from many generations of Egyptian priests, to Solon, the great lawgiver of Athens, Greece, and finally to Plato. In the words of Plato: "The island, Atlantis, was just across from the Pillars of Hercules. It was larger than the combined sizes of Libya and Asia. From it, ships could travel to other islands and even to the great continent that surrounds the ocean. For the sea that lies within the pillars, the Mediterranean, is only a harbor with a narrow entrance. Beyond it is the great ocean and the surrounding land, a mighty continent. "...But afterwards, there were violent earthquakes and floods. In one day and one night, all of your troops disappeared into the sea. In the same manner, Atlantis also disappeared into the depths of the ocean. Because of this, the sea in that place can no longer be navigated. It is blocked by mud shallows which the island produced when it sank." After the sinking of Atlantis, legends from cultures at all points of the compass tell of the advanced civilization brought by the immigrants who escaped the dying Atlantis. To the Basques, it was called Atlaintika; to the people of the Canary Islands, Atalaya; to the Vikings, Atli; to the Phoenecians, Antilla; to the Egyptians, Amenti; to the Babylonians, Arallu; to the Aztecs, Astlan; to the other tribes in Mexico, Azatlan and Atlan; to the people of India, Attala...

Iceman 1 & 2:

A Brief Summary of Book1 In the frozen Arctic wasteland, a solid rock outcropping stood in the way of a huge moving glacier. The outcropping tore the glacier open, bringing long-hidden secrets to the surface. At this meteorite birthing-area, a frozen caveman appeared.

Modern science tried to resurrect the caveman, but failed. In an unauthorized experiment, the seed from the long-dead caveman conceived a child in a test-tube. That small human baby became too large to continue the experiment and was scheduled for destruction when a brave researcher volunteered to host the child for the remaining fetal-period. This researcher encountered violent opposition with the discovery that the caveman had been buried alive about a million years earlier. The very life within her proclaimed the impossible; two completely different species were interfertile, or long-cherished radioactive dating techniques were wrong.

A Brief Summary of Book 2 The nutbrown baby born of this scientific conception faced rejection most of her life because of her superior intelligence and strength. A "third curse" surfaced when the young nutbrown woman was discovered to be resistant to all forms of modern disease.

(This will be part of a book club offer -- 6 books for $15, if enough interest is expressed).

Now called the Straits of Gibraltar. [This is a work of historical fiction, blending the truths of the Bible with modern science and archeology that have historically presumed more than they could prove. I have taken the liberty of mixing in the outlines hinted at by multi-cultural legends. For those desiring to separate fact from fiction, I have included these footnotes.] .

Plato probably understood "Asia" to be Asia Minor and parts of the Middle East; and "Libya" to be North Africa.

The Americas.

This was taken from Plato's dialogue of Critias, which he never finished.

Gathered from Atlantis, Great Mysteries, Opposing Viewpoints, by Wendy Stein, Greenhaven Press.

Proving evolution doesn’t create new species.

Proving the earth isn’t as old as believed.

Familial intermarriage had been allowed by God up until the time of Moses, when the human gene pool became too corrupted and devolved. So, the thesis of this story is that ancient man was more intelligent and physically perfect than modern man.
