The Bible-Believing Scientist

I've been working as a nuclear engineer for over 20 years and I believe the Bible word for word. One of my greatest sorrows is to meet a Christian who has given up his trust in the Bible based on the latest scientific theory. That is one of my motivations for creating this homepage. I would love to be able to minister directly with Christians who are hurting, doubting and confused because of living in a "science is truth" world. I can't do that in person, but I can reach them with the written word. Over the last 20 years, I have written about 20 books, mostly Christian fiction, but some children's books, technical publications and self-help books. Full-text copies of these books are available (several in full hypertext) on a try-before-you-buy basis, similar to Shareware (see Buyer's Market). To find out more about me, check out Questions and Answers where I discuss many of the questions of concern to modern Christians. Also, I am in several Who's Who throughout the world and I have published about 30 papers in the scientific literature.

I am in the following Who's Who:

International Who's Who of Professionals

Who's Who in America

Who's Who in American Education

Dictionary of International Biography

I used to think you had to be somebody famous to be in Who's Who. Then, they nominated me and Who's Who doesn't seem like such a big thing anymore. However, maybe being in these organizations can give me the credibility to speak to others about Christ. So, I hope you forgive the pretentiousness.

May God richly bless you. My name is James Wilson. I have been a nuclear engineer for almost 20 years and am in several Who's Who for my technical contributions to that field. However, my real interest is in the area of religious fiction, covering current issues from a Biblical perspective, wherein miracles, angels, demons and communication with God are accepted subjects. Over the last 15 years, I have been nursing along the writing of about 20 different books on various Christian subjects.

I did not know Jesus until I was 24 years old. Before this time, I had lived in sin, got an advanced degree at the University of California (Berkeley) in Nuclear Engineering, was a strong believer in evolution and had seminary courses in Higher Criticism (tearing the Bible apart).

I joined the Navy during the Vietnam War, serving as a Journalist on the island of Guam... and had studied the religions of the world, rejecting them all. God knew I would never find Him unless He used a pretty big sign, so He dropped me in the middle of a miracle-filled revival. I tried all the tricks of my Higher Criticism to explain away the miracles, but they were happening too fast (several each week), to Western-educated people, right before my eyes. Finally, the burden of disbelief became greater than the burden of belief, and I ran into His arms.

In this environment, I learned some important things:

The miracles of the Bible are not a fairy-tale or misinterpretation

Miracles happen when you start believing the Bible word-for-word

No other philosophy in life satisfies like a life filled with miracles
