Use this paper to print your paper piecing patterns. It can be used in ink or
bubble-jet printers, in copy machines, or you can draw on it by hand in ink or pencil.
(Use a "light" setting on your printer or copy machine, as any heavy dark
line will show through your lighter fabrics.)
Stablize your machine embroidery; use in any application that needs a removable
stabilizer.
To use as a light stiffener: Dissolve one sheet in 8 oz. of water. Saturate the
fabric piece in the solution and dry flat. Press with a dry iron. Sew in place.
The paper will not dissolve if you sprinkle or spill on it. This paper has to be
"swished" in water to dissolve. It will not absorb water sitting on the
shelf. We recommend you keep the paper in the bag to keep it clean.
You can use water soluble tape to make a larger piece of paper. Use 1/4" water
soluble tape across one edge of one sheet and lay another on top of the tape. This
can be used for larger applications such as vest machine embroidery. Water soluble
tape can be used to hold this paper to the paper to the back of your work.
Sewing Instructions: Use a regular stitch length when using this paper. If your feed
dogs tear the paper reduce the pressure on your foot. Some feed dogs are very sharp
and you may need to adjst the foot pressure several times to get the right tension on
the paper. This paper can be left inside your project and quilted. DO NOT use heavy
quilting in the areas that have this water sluble paper in it as the heavy quilting
does not allow the paper to "swish" and it will not wash out well. It is
recommended you remove the seam paper before layering and quilting.
This product is non-toxic and safe for all systems.
