Hello Toni!

"Here is the picture of the quilt square that I promised you (before framing). I love how it came out! I used blue and gold for the Navy colors. Everyone was very impressed. I even have an order to make another one. The article [below] tells about the auction -- my quilt square was even mentioned! It raised $130 for the scholarship fund!!!"

"Dolphin Scholarship Auction Scores Touchdown"
"The ninth annual Silver/Gold Dolphin Scholarship Auction was held March 30 at the Subase Gym. The Dolphin Scholarship Foundation was established in 1961 by submarine officers' wives when one $350 scholarship was awarded. There were 495 items for viewing that included a framed quilt block 'Mariner's Compass' that went for $130."
