Proposed approach and performed rigorous derivation for International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor releases limit line, which improved introduction of parameter uncertainties in the risk model.

PH.D. DEGREE IN NUCLEAR ENGINEERING, JUNE, 1996. Thesis concentrates on designing probabilistic method to assess the functional requirements of confinement barriers for nuclear fusion reactor, performing sensitivity and uncertainty analyses for design parameters, using Monte Carlo simulation and Response Surface Method. Curriculum includes risk assessment and management, statistics, decision theory, optimization methods, waste management. Awarded IEEE 16th Symposium on Fusion Engineering 1995 Student Travel Grant. GPA: 4.8/5.0.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NUCLEAR ENGINEERING, JUNE, 1994. Thesis: "Probabilistic Analysis of Divertor Plate Lifetime in Tokamak Reactors." Expanded the application of probabilistic methods and statistical simulations to fusion research.
