Personal Equipment
Each participant is expected to provide his or her clothing and articles of personal grooming and health care. In addition, each participant will need a flyrod, reel, floating line, and leader. A fly fishing system composed of a 5-weight graphite rod (8.5- or 9-ft); matching single action reel; 5-weight, weight-forward floating line; and 8.5- or 9-foot tapered leader will maximize enjoyment during instruction and serve the general needs of the fly fisherman, regardless of situation and sport fish. An extra spool for the reel equipped with a 10-foot, sink-tip line is recommended.
What is Provided
The Snake River School of Fly Fishing provides living space, sleeping accommodations, meals, instruction in fly fishing, and materials and equipment for tying four patterns of basic flies as part of the total cost of each package.
