Uraima Falls Lodge Information
Location: Uraima Falls, Venezuala
Average Season from: December 1 to May 15.

Fishing: Mostly huge and wicked Payaras, you can also be surprised by other species as Aymaras, Morocotos, Tiger fish and Curbinatas using different fishing methods. You will be trolling and casting using big rapalas. The Payara is a fast and excellent fighter also acrobatic, very aggressive. The WORLD RECORD was caught here at 36 pounds and some even larger but not yet certified, 40 pounders Payaras has been landed by family members of the owners but bigger has been seen. The average number of Payaras per angler per day is 8 from 26 to 30 pounds. It is recommended to bring enough divers rapalas (size 7-9 inches) since Payaras are very strong and can make you lose your rapalas easily. Boats are big and heavy 30 foot dug outs with 40 horse motors. Guides are local and with good knowledge of the falls and river.

Weather: Days are clear and hot with quite cool nights.
Accommodations: Uraima is owned by the same people of Indian Fishing Camp but is much larger, it has Individual Thatch roofed bungalows with private baths, and two rooms each. Open air design, open bar and a restaurant on the premises for all meals.
Capacity: Has been limited to eight (8) anglers for preservation purposes.
Last improvements: New chef with more knowledge of American and international meals. Lengthened airstrip near the lodge for more take off and landing space.
