I too,would appreciate information about preservation of old silk flags. I have my Grandfather's flag from his service in WWI from Connecticut and time has certainly taken it's toll on the fabric. It is so fragile that merely touching it causes pieces to fall away. I have wanted to have it placed between two pieces of glass, but the trick is finding someone qualified to do the job without causing even more damage. Does anyone know of people or companies that can do this?
