Hail from the Chief
By Kelly Armstrong
Well, by the time you read this, Easter will be all over. I hope that the
Easter Bunny found each and every one of you and brought you what you wanted.
We heard that the Easter Bunny found Fred and Wanda Hughes and bought them
a new house. Yes, Fred and Wanda moved into town. They found a new house
in the McDonald subdivision. Congratulations, Fred and Wanda! We hope that
you have a long and happy beginning in your new home.
Our next club meeting will be a Big Jud's in Archer on Tuesday,
May 9 at 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, April 20 was our first get-together at Scotties, and it was great
to see everyone again. The weather was not too bad, but some of us still
braved the wind. We will meet there every first and third Thursday of each
month. Our next get-together will be on Thursday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. Please
mark that on you calendar and try to be there.
Our April meeting was a huge success. The Pressbox was very kind to put up
with all of us. We want to thank Tim Walsh for arranging the use of the back
room! The club members that were there voted to donate money to Lynn and
Betty McKinley's daughter so she could go to Spain with the Bonneville High
School track team. We wish her all the luck in the world.
Taylor Show Date Change

April Meeting Minutes
By Bev Novak
We had a good turnout for the meeting, which was held at the Pressbox. There
were 35 members there. We had some new people at the meeting: Jim and Cathy
Colums and Steve and Becky Hadlock. Steve and Becky have been long time sponsors
for our show. They are from the Medicine Shoppe.
The Wild West Vette Fest is going well. Everything seems to be on schedule.
The next meeting will be on May 12. Someone made a suggestion for the remaining
poker run stop that was needed.
Ferrill Davidson updated us on the trip for May 19 through 21. We will leave
the Ernst parking lot at 8:00 a.m., travel through Sun Valley and Star Basin
and stay in McCall. We will then go on to Missoula for Saturday and back
home through the Big Hole country.
We will be starting "Scotties Night" this month and meet on the first and
third Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.. The evening will hopefully include a drive.
Next month's meeting will be at Big Juds in Archer on May 9. We will meet
at the old Fred Meyers parking lot at 6:30 p.m.
Mandy McKinlay, daughter of members and sponsors Lynn and Betty McKinlay,
is going to Europe for track. Lynn and Betty asked the club for a donation
to help with Manday's travel expenses. The Club voted to donate $ 1 00.
Sponsors of the Taylor Chevrolet show are trying to get some one from Nascar
to come to the show. The date has been moved from June 10 to July 15 because
the June 10 date conflicted with the Jackson Show.
There are now three members who have the Sprint Motorola UHF two-way radios
that you buy at Sam's Club. The radios are located in the "locked up" area
of Sam's. They have a rechargeable battery but no cigarette lighter adapter.
The meeting was adjourned.
Volunteers Please
Volunteers are needed to help with the Wild West Vette Fest poker run. Please
contact Lynn and Betty McKinlay.
