By Kelly Annstrong
Our Valentine's Day Brunch was a great success. We had 30 people show up.
I would like to thank Lori Walsh for bringing the flowers for the ladies.
We saw some faces that we haven't seen in along time. And that is great!
The weather was good enough for some of us to drive our cars, but as the
day progressed, Mother Nature showed us that we should wait awhile before
any of us get real serious.
We picked a logo for the show. And Richard and Debbie Morris graciously
volunteered to be co-Chairs for the show. Brian still needs volunteers for
the committees. So, please call Brian and volunteer.
Gringo's on Skyline (kind of across from the Dairy Queen
on Broadway) will be the lace for our next club meeting. And that will be
Tuesday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m.
We discussed some of the plans for the club drive this year to Seattle, but
nothing is in stone. Linda Moore would like you to call her and let her know
if you are thinking about going so she can get some kind of head count for
motel rooms.
CLUB DUES ARE DUE. So, if you haven't paid your dues, please do
so. Also, it is the time of year to start thinking about our club outings.
If you have any ideas, please feel free to come forward and let us know.
Well, that is all for now. If anybody has anything that they would like to
put in the newsletter, please give Jim Thompson a call, or you can e-mail
it to either him or me.

Vette Fest 2000 Meeting
The next meeting for those helping (bless their hearts) or wanting to help
with the Vette Fest show this summer will be at Gringo's on
March 7 at 7:00 p.m. That is a Tuesday night. EVERYONE who wants to help
is welcome.
The 2000 Corvette is a 2-door, 2-passenger performance sports car available
in three trims. Base MSRP ranges from around $39, 1 00 for the Hardtop to
around $45,600 for the Convertible. The Corvette's closest competitors include
the BMW M3 and Porsche Boxster. According to Chevrolet, "dollar for dollar,
horsepower for horsepower, very few competitors come close to delivering
the value Corvette offers the performance sports car customer."
Upon introduction, all trims are equipped with a standard 5.7-liter, V8,
345-horsepower engine that consumes 17-mpg in the city and 25-mpg in the
highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission is standard on the Coupe and
Convertible. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on the Hardtop and
optional on the Coupe and Convertible. The 2000 Corvette is a carryover from
1999 with minor revisions including upgrades to the Z51 suspension and new
5-spoke aluminum wheels. The Hardtop features new 17" front and 18" rear
forged aluminum wheels.
