Contract Text Processor. This is a wonderful company made up of Editors, Writers, Graphic Artists and Text Processors. 01/08/96-10/08/98 -- SRVNet, Inc., Idaho Falls, Idaho

Customer Support Supervisor. I worked from my home as a Customer Support Supervisor for Snake River Valley Network (SRVNet). This job was very unique. There aren't many companies that are taylored so that the majority of the employees can work from home. SRVNet did just that (and very well too).

July 1998 -- University of Idaho, Idaho Falls, Idaho

Instructor. I instructed a computer summer camp for ages 7-11 in July. The camp consisted of learning the heart of the computers, being able to tear a computer completely apart and touch all the chips and cards. Some of the main sections of the camp were Introduction to Computers, Circuits & Switches, Digital Information (binary), Microprocessors, Creating Chips, and Networking. Intel provided a video lesson each day and I also taught each student how to build their own web page as a final project. This was a very fun and exciting experience!

4/08/96-8/26/96 -- DiCarlo and Associates, Inc., St. Anthony, Idaho

Office Manager. This Corporation is made up of several businesses working from the same office. It published the Homes & Land magazine (Real Estate) for the Teton/Yellowstone Territory, the Eastern Idaho Buyer's Guide (Real Estate) and the Northwest National Connection (Real Estate) magazine for Montana. I set the type for the Northwest National Connection magazine. Another part of the business is ProForma Graphics & Printing which was promotional products, commercial printing, as well as business forms and stationary. I set the type for some of the jobs using Quark Xpress, Microsoft Publisher, WordPerfect 6.1, PhotoShop and various other graphic software. I also did layouts and would submit these jobs to the printers electronically or camera ready. I also did the bookkeeping and answered phones.

12/17/90-3/31/95 -- Lockheed Martin, Idaho Falls, Idaho

Senior Office Machine Operator. Accomplishments. Document creation at its finest, including manuals, brochures, flyers, table tents, name badges, door signs, advertising layouts, certificates, etc. . .I worked on an IBM-PC using a WordPerfect 5.0, 5.1 and 6.0 for DOS, WordPerfect 6.0 and 6.1 for Windows, Internet and File Transfer Protocols, Database Entry in FoxPro, etc...and many other programs in Windows. I used a Macintosh using Quark, Microsoft Word, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Pagemaker, Internet and File Transfer protocols. I also worked on a UNIX station using Interleaf. I used various scanners and scanner software. I helped run and maintain the Linotronic typesetter and Agfa processor. We ran film, paper and direct to plate. I helped in the graphic arts department, when they had an overload of work, which included brochure layout and designs, covers, photo and line art scanning and conversions. I was also sent out on numerous special project assignment including support of the Department of Energy Tiger Team Assessment in 1991 and 1992, Technical Information Systems Hotline in 1994 and a variety of others.

1989-1990 -- Edwards Brothers Trucking, Idaho Falls, Idaho

Accounts Receivable. Did computerized billing for 45 refrigerator trucks daily. I also figured driver reimbursements.

Education:

I like to think of myself as a career student. When my husband asked what I'd like to be when I grow up, my answer is "Retired". Learning is a constant in life and I think it is just plain fun. My most recent courses were taken and completed at Eastern Idaho Technical College (EITC) and include a Troubleshooting and Building PCs class, three Microsoft Certified Courses entitled Supporting Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Core Technologies, Administering Windows NT 4.0, and Networking Essentials. I have also received a Novell Education Certificate for Novell NetWare 4 Administration Course through EITC. I have taken a variety of courses at EITC including a Visual Basic Programming course, a Business Manangement Training Series, HTML, Spanish, and some Business Entrepreneurial Workshops. I also took a fun course in learning the Stock Market. I recently completed a PC Repair Course through International Correspondence Schools (ICS). In 1984 I took a 60 hour Economic Development Finance course. I have taken numerous software and self improvement courses through EITC as well as Idaho State University, Grays Harbor Community College in Aberdeen Washington and through Lockheed Martin Idaho Technologies Company Employee Education Program.

Areas of Expertise:

I enjoy working hard. I love working from home! I work with all types of computer systems and a variety of operating systems. I love working with people. I enjoy typesetting and film processing, layout and design, software and hardware troubleshooting and the use of the Internet. I also enjoy doing home page design and layout. I am very good at instructing people on the use of software and hardware and troubleshooting problems over the phone. Every day of my life is a learning experience. Life is fun and I live each day as if it were my last.
