Edith Stanger has been there and done that since 1951, when she and her late husband, Richard, joined the Appaloosa Horse Club.
Co-founder of the Double Arrow Ranch, one of the world's oldest and largest Appaloosa ranches, which is still producing quality horses today, her membership number is 386.
- The Stangers held 16 ranch production sales and sold horses to almost every state of the Union. They also exported horses to Europe, Japan, Australia, and Central and South America. Their horses were featured in several movies and television productions.
- Edith participated actively for three decades in the Appaloosa Horse Club. She served a term as a Director, and currently serves on the board of the Appaloosa Youth Foundation. She co-founded the Intermountain Appaloosa Club, one of the country's oldest regional organizations, and also served as its President. She is immediate past President of the Idaho Horse Board, and was the first inductee into the Idaho Horse Council's Hall of Fame.
- Edith holds a BA in Secondary Education. She is listed in Who's Who in American Women, and is a former Commissioner of Bonneville County, Idaho.
