![]() The Potlatcher sits at the WI&Ms Potlatch, Idaho depot in this undated photograph. The Potlatcher was a gas-powered railcar built to the WI&Ms specifications by Fairmont Railway Motors, Inc. in 1937. It provided passenger and mail service along the WI&M line until 1955, when passenger service was discontinued. The running gear was scrapped and the body was subsequently used as a refreshment stand at a local ballpark until being scrapped following a fire (the body being wood, covered with a skin of aluminum and canvas, was flammable).
