Countryside Data announced today the availability of an updated version to the highly successful Field Manager, a software program for the agriculture industry from its Farm Management Series. WinField is a windows based version that simplifies paperwork associated with running a farm or ranching business.

Simply keep a written record of your daily activities or applications in the field, in as much detail as you need. Use the simple forms provided for later entry into a computer or use a portable computer for one-time entries. According to Ken Stavast, President of Countryside Data, Field Manager gives farmers and ranchers what they want .... management information that can help plan the marketing and farming operation.

Turn your required reports into valuable management tools. Keep updated weather information, planting information, and harvest information. Field Manager then gives you reports that save precious time and recall events quickly. Daily logs of all business activities. History of all chemicals and fertilizers applied. A record of soil or tissue testing for each crop or field. Field crop histories including planting details, planting and harvest temperatures, and harvest data. Environmental conditions including wind direction & speed, soil moisture, and soil texture. Weather information including growing degrees, rain fall or irrigation application, full weather reports.

Expanded Mapping Services Announced Today by Countryside Data

IDAHO FALLS, ID, October 6, 1997. Countryside Data announced today Green Acres Mapping Service, an expanded mapping service for the agricultural industry. It utilizes the Field Manager mapping software already in the marketplace. Farmers, Chemical Applicators, Crop Consultants, and Service providers can now send CFSA maps, Aerial Photographs, or even hand-drawn maps to Countryside Data and they will return wall maps for the entire operation. According to Ken Stavast, President of Countryside Data, mapping is a great organizational tool and ties in with their other industry software packages.

Countryside Data will print the size of map you need from 8 1/2 by 11 inches for notebooks to 3 foot by 4 foot wall maps. The maps come fully color coded by fields and laminated to extend the life of the maps. If the customer is using Countryside Data's Field Manager then they will also receive their maps on disk. This will enable industry users to update their maps on their computers.
